中文课程简介 Brief Introduction to the Chinese Program
洛桑运动的开普顿宣言（2011）曾这样宣称：“教会在地上的使命是在服事上帝的宣教，而神学教育的使命就是为了要加强和与教会的使命配搭。” 从太廿八19-20，我们清楚知道这上帝的宣教（missio dei）是什么，并且可由其中的四个动词来表达：“去”、“使人作主门徒”、“施洗”和“教训”。由于墨尔本教区及其他宗派中的华人基督徒人数不断地在增加，使年轻刚归主的和较长久的基督徒装备他们成为门徒是当务之急。基于本地教会受限于资源和其他的约束，虽然每年有许多华人归主和施洗，但许多信徒都没有接受系统的教导和被栽培的机会。结果是一些信徒经过一段时间后就离开了教会或从一间跳到另一间教会的观望者。再者，由于墨尔本的华人新移民人数不断的加增，今天极需更多成熟和有经验的教会同工在墨尔本及外地建立健康、有异象和增长的教会。
有鉴于以上所提到的需要, Ridley神学院的圣经和事奉证书课程（中文）于2016年开始设立，并拥有以下的目标：
- 提供系统的圣经教导，包括对圣经有一个基础的认识，以及如何正确分解上帝的道
- 为基督徒的生活和事奉提供一个符合圣经且可实践的基础架构
- 装备学生拥有事奉的技巧来运用他们的恩赐
- 预备学生未来进深的神学学习及参与全职的事奉
It has been stated in the Lausanne Movement’s Cape Town Commitment (2011) that “the mission of the Church on earth is to serve the mission of God, and the mission of theological education is to strengthen and accompany the mission of the Church.” From Matthew 28:19-20, we know exactly what this missio dei is, which can be summed up in the four verbs: “go,” “make disciples,” “baptizing,” and “teaching.”
Given the growing number of Chinese Christians in various churches in Melbourne diocese and in other denominations, there are ever pressing needs of discipling, equipping and empowering both young converts and old Christians. With limited resources and various constraints in local churches, many Chinese Christians are not systematically taught and nurtured (as a result, some stopped from coming to the church or some simply became church-hoppers). Furthermore, with the growth in the number of Chinese migrants in Melbourne, more mature and experienced church workers are urgently needed to build healthy, visionary, and growing churches around Melbourne and beyond.
In light of these needs, the Ridley Certificate in Bible & Ministry in Chinese was established with the following aims:
- Provide systematic teaching of the Bible which includes a proper survey of the Bible and the right handling of the Word of God
- Provide a biblical and practical framework of Christian life and ministry
- Equipping students with ministry tools to exercise their spiritual gifts
- Prepare students for further theological studies and full-time ministries
课程的特点 Certificate Specifics
- 每个学科十小时 10-Hour Subject
- 十小时上课，一般上是每周2至2.5小时上课，总共4-5周. Each subject has 10 hours of lectures, normally 2-2.5 hour per week, running for a total of 4-5 weeks.
证书的宗旨 Aim of the certificate
每个学科的重点都是为了装备门徒，以致能回到教会及社会中事奉神、服事人。
The aim is equipping disciples to return to their church or workplace to serve God and others.
按个人需要学习 Learn at own pace
将按所选修的科目获得不同的证书：初级圣经和事奉证书（6科）、圣经和事奉证书（10科）、高级圣经和事奉证书 (12科).
Students can earn different certificates according to number of subjects completed: Associate Certificate in Bible & Ministry (6 subj.), Certificate in Bible & Ministry (10 subj.) and Advanced Certificate in Bible & Ministry (12 subj.).

作业 Assessments
一般上，学员需要完成两个作业，如一个阅读报告和一个短文章或反省文章，总字数不超过4,000字。
Normally students are required to finish 2 assignments, for example, a book review and a short essay or reflective essay, total wording not more than 4,000.
