The Annual Preachers’ Conference is a training conference on preaching God’s word to minds, hearts, wills and lives. The Book of Jeremiah is very relevant for our times, but few of us would feel confident to preach a series on this long Old Testament book. Be trained and inspired to preach on Jeremiah with Jill Firth, Tim Johnson and Mike Raiter.

This year, we’ll be bringing the 2021 conference to you by hosting a number of hubs across Australia and beyond, from where you can tune in digitally, whilst also connecting in person with local fellow preachers. In groups, we will also workshop a passage from Jeremiah with a view to preaching on it. Each of the groups will be facilitated by experienced preachers. Hub locations include:

  • Ridley College (Parkville)
  • Berwick – VIC
  • Geelong – VIC
  • Bathurst – NSW
  • Brisbane – QLD
  • Toowoomba – QLD
  • Darwin – NT

You may also choose to tune in completely online without attending a physical hub.

Jill Firth lectures in Old Testament at Ridley and is an expert on Jeremiah. Her training will be is on how to prepare for preaching this book.
Tim Johnson is a church pastor and will preach three expository sermons from the book. There will be an extended opportunity for discussion of these sermons and question times. In groups, we will also workshop a passage of Jeremiah for the purpose of preaching it. These will be facilitated by experienced preachers.
A highlight of our Annual Preacher’s Conference is the address by well-known preacher Mike Raiter on ’the Personal Life of the Preacher’ – this year on the topic of the ‘Weeping Preacher’. You don’t want to miss this conference.
