Women's Preaching Network: The Book of Malachi

Join us for our next Women’s Preaching Network on 21 March, where we will continue to hear from women preachers and be encouraged and trained. Deborah Upton will be preaching from the book of Malachi. We will also receive training from Heather Reid on Preaching Malachi. All proceeds of this event go towards appreciating our preacher and trainer.

Deborah Upton

Deborah has worked in the finance industry for over 30 years, but her love for the Scriptures led her to study Hebrew at University. She is now working on her MDiv at Ridley College. Deborah Chairs the Centre for Biblical Preaching board and is the Interim Chair of the Ethos Centre for Christianity and Society. In addition, she is on the board of the Australian Institute of Archaeology and the Melbourne Committee of Christians for Biblical Equality. She is also on the committee of the Ridley Women’s Preaching Network. When the opportunity arises, she loves to preach and is passionate about all people reading, teaching and preaching from the Bible.

Heather Reid

Heather has a wealth of experience as a gifted preacher, trainer and educator. She is currently a Trainer in Preaching for the Centre for Biblical Preaching. She began her career as a physiotherapist and became a theological student, student worker with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students, and most recently, a Hebrew and Old Testament lecturer at the Evangelical College of Asian in Singapore. During her time in Singapore, Heather was also privileged to train young Singaporean and Malaysian women in preaching and Bible Study leadership through the Singapore Expository Preaching Course (SEPC) and the Malaysian Centre for Expository Preaching (CEP). Heather’s passion is that as preachers listen to the Word and are changed by it in their preparation, they can share its truths in a way that engages both the heart and the mind of their hearers.
