2021 Leon Morris Lecture features our very own Andrew Malone on the topic of Pray without ceasing: Lessons in Prayer from the Thessalonian Letters.
Andrew explored the role of prayer in the two letters written to the Thessalonians by Paul and his missionary team. Arguably more than in any other Pauline correspondence, prayer dictates the shape of these writings. Many of the prayers are offered as models for next-generation believers to emulate, especially the prayers of thankfulness. They provide us with clear evidence of how the earliest Christians readily addressed their prayers to Jesus as well as to God.
