Charles Perry Lecture

When: 24 May 2021, 5:00 pm - 7 pm

Speaker: Stuart Piggin

The Charles Perry Lecture is an opportunity to honour the first Anglican Bishop of Melbourne focusing on the area of church history, with a particular emphasis on Melbourne. This year we are delighted to have noted historian Dr Stuart Piggin speak on his experience of writing his recent two-volume work ‘Evangelical Christians in Australian History’.

This year’s lecture will be preceded by a book launch of two of Stuart’s books: Attending to the National Soul: Evangelical Christians in Australian History 1914 – 2014 and Harry Goodhew: Archbishop, Godly Radical, Dynamic Anglican. Peter Corney will be launching both books, with an opportunity afterwards to purchase signed copies.
