Annual Preachers' Conference 2023

The Annual Preachers’ Conference is designed to train you in preaching God’s word to the mind, heart, and will of members of your congregation.

This year, Dr Andrew Malone is our trainer, helping us to understand how to preach from the book of Hebrews. He will be joined by several preachers giving sermons from the book of Hebrews, and a sermon on the life of the preacher.

Main Speaker

MALONE_Andrew_2020

Dr Andrew Malone

Andrew has studied and taught at Ridley for nearly three decades. He’s keen for people to love and serve God, grounded in a passion for reading the Bible and interpreting it well. He promotes the less loved parts of the Old and New Testaments, and thinks the letter to the Hebrews is the most valuable book for understanding the whole Bible and for aiding believers through the arduous steps of the Christian journey.

Other Speakers

MikeR

Rev’d Mike Raiter

Mike is currently the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, an organisation that seeks to train and equip churches around the globe in expository preaching. Mike is also the author of a number of books, including Stirrings of the Soul: Evangelicals and the New Spirituality which won the 2004 SPCK Australian Christian Book of the Year Award.

Hannah Craven

Rev’d Hannah Craven

Rev Hannah Craven is Associate Lecturer in Christian Thought at Ridley College. She gave her first sermon (albeit a pretty short one!) from Philippians 4 at the age of 15, and has enjoyed the challenge and the thrill of hearing and speaking God’s word afresh in many different contexts in the decades since. Hannah chairs the team for Ridley’s Women’s Preaching Network.

Andrew Price

Rev’d Andrew Price

Andrew Price is Vicar of Holy Trinity Doncaster and St John’s Blackburn, two Reformed Evangelical Anglican churches in Melbourne’s east. As a former schoolteacher, he loves teaching God’s word, helping people come to and grow in Christ.  He also loves coffee, perhaps too much.
