Faculty Announcements

Announcements concerning two members of our Ridley faculty.
First, following Ridley College’s decision to transition to a new leadership structure to meet the emerging challenges of the next decade, our Vice Principal, The Rev’d Dr Tim Foster, has decided to resign, effective as of 30 April 2023. After nearly fourteen years at Ridley, Tim will explore other options including training and consultancy roles. The Board extend their thanks to Tim for his work as Vice Principal under two principals, and for his initiative, leadership, and teaching. Tim has expressed his gratitude to staff and faculty, the executive team, board members, and students – past and present – for the opportunity to serve at Ridley.
Second, after seventeen years on our faculty, The Rev’d Canon Dr Richard Trist has decided to move towards retirement and will conclude his role as Senior Lecturer in Practical Theology on 30 June 2023. We thank Richard for his teaching, and for his work in various leadership roles at Ridley, including as Dean of the Anglican Institute, and more recently, as coordinator of our growing work with alumni. Richard is grateful for his years serving at the college, and we are exploring ways in which he can continue to be involved in college life.
