Creation Care
Integral to the Great Commission or Optional Extra?
This year’s lecture explores a timely topic: is creation care—care for God’s created world—truly part of global mission—or something peripheral, even suspect? Drawing on lived experience, real-world case studies, and biblical reflection, this lecture will show that creation care is not an imported agenda, but an integral expression of the Christian faith and God’s redemptive work.
Anna Radkovic, a CMS missionary serving with A Rocha Kenya, will bring first-hand insight from her ministry in Watamu, Kenya. A Rocha is a global Christian organisation committed to caring for God’s creation as an expression of the gospel. In Kenya, Anna supports and strengthens local leadership while working alongside communities to make Christ known through this work.
Responding will be Revd Dr Wei-Han Kuan, Executive Director of CMS Victoria, who will reflect theologically through the lens of holistic mission, helping situate creation care within the wider scope of God’s redemptive work.
Together, they will offer a vision of mission that is biblically grounded, globally informed, and practically lived out—inviting Christians into hopeful, faithful participation in God’s mission today.

Anna Radkovic
Anna Radkovic is a CMS missionary serving with A Rocha Kenya, a Christian conservation organisation committed to making Christ known through caring for God’s world. She currently serves as Operations Manager, supporting and strengthening local leadership while overseeing conservation work that integrates environmental stewardship with community life and gospel witness.
An environmental professional with nearly a decade of experience, Anna has worked across conservation, research, and land restoration projects in both Australia and East Africa. She brings together a deep commitment to Christ, a love for creation, and a passion to see communities flourish through holistic mission.
Revd Dr Wei-Han Kuan
Revd Dr Wei-Han Kuan is the Executive Director of CMS Victoria. Born in Malaysia and educated in Singapore, he initially trained and worked in taxation law before preparing for ministry at Ridley College. He has since served in Anglican parish ministry and in work among young adults, before taking up leadership within CMS.
Wei-Han brings both pastoral and theological depth, with a particular interest in the history and continuity of evangelical mission. His doctoral research has been published as Foundations of Anglican Evangelicalism in Victoria 1847–1937. He is married to Valerie, and together they have three school-aged children.
