Evangelistic Preaching

Join us for the 2026 Annual Preacher’s Conference on 27 – 28 August. This year, we are excited to have Revd Dr John Dickson speak to us about Evangelistic Preaching.

Early bird pricing runs until 31 July — grab your spot today!

Ridley Preachers’ Conferences aim to encourage us in our leadership and ministry by focussing on skills for preaching. This is an opportunity for pastors, campus workers, clergy, and missionaries to be refreshed as they learn and nurture relationships with other Gospel workers from around Melbourne and Australia. Bring your ministry team for professional development and pass on the invitation!

See you there!

Main Speaker

Revd Dr John Dickson

John Dickson is an author, speaker, historian, and media presenter. He hosts Undeceptions, Australia’s top Christian podcast, and has presented four television documentaries, most recently The First Hymn: Resurrecting a Song Buried for Millennia (April 2025).

He has published over 20 books, including Bullies and Saints: An Honest Look at the Good and Evil of Christian History (2021). He is the Jean Kvamme Distinguished Professor of Biblical Studies and Public Christianity at Wheaton College, Illinois, having previously held positions at Macquarie University, the University of Sydney, Ridley College Melbourne, and the University of Oxford.

As a preacher John loves to wrestle with the big questions of life. He relishes the opportunity to explain Christ’s gospel and promote the public understanding of classical Christianity, especially to those who don’t believe.

He lives in Wheaton, Illinois, with his wife Elizabeth and their youngest child.
