Unit Overview
This unit is taken in conjunction with the Women in Leadership Symposium.
Undertake pre-conference research and an assignment in preparation to engage deeply with the conference content. Attend sessions and engage in workshops as a conference delegate. After the conference undertake further extended research to prepare a paper that advances a thesis of sufficient quality and depth that it could be presented at a subsequent conference. Conference fee included in unit tuition.

Our annual Women in Leadership Symposium is a two-day intensive, with topics repeated on a three-year cycle.
- Gain the mindset, confidence and capabilities to advance (or change) your career
- Learn how to respond to gender bias constructively
- Hear from women who have succeeded in male-dominated fields
- Regain power and confidence in the church, boardroom, office or worksite
Study Expectations
This unit is a blend of an intensive and a project. It requires extensive research and high-level academic writing. Total commitment is about 36 hours, including the conference.

Students undertake pre-conference research and an assignment in preparation to engage deeply with the conference content, then attend sessions and engage in workshops as a conference delegate. After the conference you will undertake a further extended research to prepare a paper that advances a thesis of sufficient quality and depth that it could be presented at a subsequent conference.
