Event: Webinar in association with the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network

The situation in current day Palestine is dire. Sadly this reality where access to basic necessities such as healthcare, education, water, shelter, freedom of movement and economic security is either ignored or is deliberately misrepresented.

Palestinian Christians rarely have their voices heard above the ongoing tensions. This is your chance to take a step off the tourist track and main stream media reporting, to go beyond the Holy Land tours of biblical sites and get up close and personal with a fellow sister in Christ. Hear exactly why life is so dire and the relentless, dehumanising plight facing Palestinian Christians. Learn ways that you can extend the love of Christ and offer hope for a future worth celebrating.

Speaker: Areej Masoud is a Palestinian Christian born in Bethlehem, who lives within minutes from the birthplace of Jesus. Currently, she works as the Development and Communications Department Coordinator at Bethlehem Bible College. Areej has held a variety of jobs, which have included working at the Kairos Palestine Movement as the Communication and Administration Officer and prior to this, teaching Biblical Studies to high school students. Areej undertook Religious Studies and Psychology at Bethlehem University and wrote her dissertation on Zionism and the Kairos Palestine Document. Since then she has become impassioned to speak up on behalf of her people and introduce the world to her reality, often hidden from mainstream media!
