We are looking for a Youth Pastor to join our church family as soon as possible to lead our group of 40 Sunday School children, youth and young adults. As the Youth Pastor, you will be responsible for leading and equipping this group to be disciples for Christ in all aspects of their lives.
The Youth Pastor will be accountable to the Senior Pastor and the Session (Senior Pastor, elders and deacons) of the church and will be for an initial period of 24 months. While your initial responsibility would be to pastor and lead the Sunday School, youth and young adults, our vision is to start an English service as soon as possible, and you would work closely with the Session to plan for this.
As we are looking for someone to grow into leading an English service, fluency in Chinese is not required (but would be viewed favourably).
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Christian Chinese Reformed Church (CCRC) is a multigenerational church with around 140 members at 960 -966 Heatherton Road, Springvale South VIC 3172, Australia. We were planted in 1989 and are part of the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia. Our weekly service is at 10 am and is conducted in Mandarin with simultaneous English translation. We currently have one full-time Senior Pastor and a range of volunteers leading and serving in various ministry teams and roles.
