About the Role
Mission and Teaching Coordinator
Part-time
PURPOSE:
Champion missional living and placemaking in all of life. Assist the leadership team in deeper theological reflection.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and mentor the Teaching Team
- Provide coordination and support for the Teaching Team.
- Identify people with preaching and communication gifts.
- Preach 1 sermon every 6 weeks.
Foster community connections
- Community outreach outside of Sundays.
- Together with the Generations Coordinator, explore and develop collaboration with community groups.
- Support and develop Missions Team and lead missional initiatives.
Rites of passage
- Lead weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
Encourage the training of others to lead rites of passage services.
32 hours per fortnight (negotiable). Salary and benefits paid in accordance with BUV recommendations.
Tertiary qualification in theology or biblical studies required.
About Kyneton Baptist Church
Kyneton Baptist Church is located in a growing regional community located 80kms north of Melbourne. Whilst centred in Kyneton the church family live up to a 60km radius. KBC is one of the oldest Baptist churches in Victoria and the local population has been changing rapidly in recent years.
A team leadership model was adopted by the Church at the end of 2023. This team fulfils the role of a single pastor. The team also includes a Discipleship Coordinator and a Generations Coordinator.
