About The Role

Duration: 4-week annual leave cover, 18 Nov -14 Dec 2022 

The role involves preaching and other roles in Sunday services. Ideally also available to lend a hand in our Tuesday afternoon food ministry, Friday afternoon SRI, Friday night youth group, and Carols event on 10 December.
Locum will be supported by our part-time Families & Outreach Pastor and our Parish Council.
The locum honorarium is low at $60/Sunday, but the Rectory will be available as accommodation.

About St Jame’s Church

St James is “a multi-cultural church that knows Jesus and makes him known”. We are a small church undergoing revitalisation, and describe ourselves as evangelical and egalitarian. While being broadly multi-cultural we also have focused ministry to Indigenous Australians, including the use of Kriol and Kunwinjku languages regularly in our services. We have a midweek mobile food service as well as Bible studies and youth group. During this locum period, our annual “Carols in the Waterpark” will be held, an event will be run jointly by 5 local churches.
