Assistant Minister – Diocese of North West Australia
Posted: 15/09/22
About the Role
Assistant Minister
Full-time
St James’ Kununurra seeks to proclaim the gospel to everyone in East Kimberley and we’re looking for a gospel-hearted male to join our staff team. The focus is on working with children, youth and families. Each Sunday we have at least 20-30 children and we want to reach many more families with the gospel as we help children and young people mature in their faith.
This role can be customised for the candidate, but subject to the focus on children, youth and families, he could look forward to partnering in general ministry (e.g. preaching, service-leading, group-leading, training). The candidate could also look forward to receiving ministry training with Minister-in-Charge Daniel Faricy and fellowship with the network of workers across our diocese.
About Diocese of North West Australia
The Diocese of North West Australia seeks to make disciples of Jesus across three diverse regions (the Kimberley, the Pilbara and the Midwest) and beyond. The diocese facilitates the ministry of churches and chaplaincies as they engage their communities, evangelise their contacts, establish people as Christians, equip Christians for service, and export resources for God’s Kingdom.
We’re a conservative evangelical diocese committed to the gospel and the ministry of the Bible as the word of God. We seek to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and make Him known through the North West and beyond. As Anglicans, we believe in the theology of the Book of Common Prayer and adhere to the Thirty-Nine Articles. We’re also committed to the Jerusalem Declaration as a contemporary expression of our theological beliefs.
