The Peter Corney Lecture 2024

With the youth of today being immersed in meme culture, the debate concerning the place of irony and humour within religious life needs to be revisited. Is there such a place? Are Christian youth able to remain faithful to Christ while participating in meme culture (a culture which, broadly speaking, rejects the category of the sacred)? This lecture answers such questions affirmatively, proposing a discipleship strategy for Christian youth ministry based on Søren Kierkegaard’s theological dialectic of jest and earnestness.

The Anglican Institute Lecture 2024

Deep Things We Share: Discipleship and the Lord’s Supper

Come along to this lecture to learn again how the discipleship agenda for your church – whatever it is – might be strengthened by sharing in the deep things of the Lord during the Communion service.
