- Taking Your Preaching to the Next Level Master Class with Mike Raiter
This workshop for seasoned preachers is an opportunity to ‘test out’ a sermon and receive constructive feedback. Participants are to bring along a new or recent sermon and preach it to a small group. Sermons are to be no longer than 20 minutes. The group will be limited to six participants.
- Taking Your Preaching to the Next Level with Richard Trist
This workshop for preachers with less than ten years’ experience is an opportunity to ‘test out’ a sermon and receive constructive feedback. Participants are to bring along a new or recent sermon and preach it to a small group. Sermons are to be no longer than 20 minutes. Groups will be limited to four participants.
- Preaching with Suspense with Rhys Bezzant
Preaching can be faithful but predictable. This seminar helps us think about ways to develop the element of surprise through suspense, with use of a famous sermon from Christian history to anchor our conversation.
- Preaching Jude and 2 Peter – Faith in a time of crisis with Anthea McCall
In this workshop, you will gain an overview of these two often neglected letters. You will hear a sermon on the whole of Jude. You will discuss the challenges raised by the two letters and how to make them relevant for today.
- How to Preach Ecclesiastes with Andrew Judd
Ecclesiastes is an exegetically challenging text, and yet for many people seeking God, the words seem to jump out of the page with a raw honesty that draws them to read more. This workshop is about preaching the rich text faithfully, holding on to the tensions, and pointing people to Christ with the help of the Preacher of Ecclesiastes. We will also consider how the message of Ecclesiastes connects with the great secular preachers of our popular culture.
