Diploma of Theology

The Diploma of Theology is an introductory course to study the Bible and Christian theology, with the opportunity to learn some basic ministry skills.

This diploma is a great way for Christians to grow in their knowledge and faith and is suitable for some ministry vocations. It is generally not suited to full-time ministry – if you are wanting to pursue full-time ministry, we encourage you to look into our Bachelor of Ministry and Bachelor of Theology courses.

Graduates of the Diploma of Theology will be able to:

Knowledge

1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theological concepts and principles.

2. Adapt theological knowledge to a variety of contexts.

Skills

1. Construct evidence-based perspectives in a range of theological issues.

2. Demonstrate interpersonal and teamwork skills.

3. Communicate theologically-related concepts and principles to others in a variety of contexts.

Application of knowledge and skills

1. Demonstrate autonomy in theological learning and reflection in Christian life and ministry.

2. Adapt theological knowledge and skills to various contexts in responsible and ethical ways.

ATAR: Completion of Year 12 in the last two years, with an ATAR of 65 or above; OR

Previous Qualifications: Successful completion of a qualification at AQF Level 5 or above; OR

Demonstrate Academic Suitability for course: Ridley Bridging Program.

Language Qualifications for NESB: IELTS 6.5 overall with minimum of 6.0 in each subtest OR 10 years in Australia with English being the language primarily spoken both at home and work.

2024 domestic tuition fees are $2,784 for undergraduate units and $2,976 for graduate units.
2025 domestic tuition fees are $2,853 for undergraduate units and $3,162 for graduate units.
