Uniting Church Bursary

Posted: 08/11/12

Ridley Melbourne has received funds to establish the Uniting Church Bursary. The bursary will be made available to students who are studying at Ridley for ministry within the Uniting Church.

The bursary has been established by Paul Langkamp a member of the Uniting Church who wants to promote evangelical ministry in his denomination. Mr Langkamp recognises that the best way to promote evangelical ministry in a largely liberal denomination is to support the training of future leaders.

Tim Foster, Director of Theological Education and Formation at Ridley is enthusiastic about the contribution “It is a strategic way to encourage evangelical ministry in the Uniting Church and I am sure it will have an impact.”

Ridley has students from a range of denominations, including a handful of students from the Uniting Church. Enrolments for study at Ridley in semester 1, 2013 are open until 11 January. Information about the bursary is available from the Ridley Registry on (03) 9207 4800.
