Ridley – Raggatt Doctoral Scholarship for an Emerging Female Academic

Posted: 03/05/18

Ridley College is an enthusiastic supporter of evangelical women in Academia, with a commitment to recruit, equip and mentor. A donation for a scholarship from the Raggatt family has provided a unique opportunity for an emerging female scholar.

The Ridley-Raggatt Doctoral Scholarship is designed to nurture an emerging female scholar who will become a leader in theological education, Christian mission and ministry, and Christian thought-leadership.

The scholarship entails $20,000 annually for three years which can be taken as either a stipend or as credit towards course fees.

The successful applicant will be a female Australian resident, based in Melbourne, full-time or part-time, satisfy enrolment requirements for a doctoral degree, normally work 6 hrs per week as a college tutor, consent to mentoring by a Ridley faculty member, and contribute to the academic life of the college. Commencement can be negotiated.

The scholarship will be awarded on merit to a gifted and godly woman who combines academic acumen with a commitment to Christian service.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants are required to complete the online questionnaire and a thesis proposal using the template available here. The thesis proposal along with a curriculum vitae should be forwarded to registrar@ridley.edu.au by the closing date: 30 June 2018.

Applications will be considered by the Postgraduate Research Committee and all applicants will receive notification of the result of their application.
