Ridley Melbourne is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Harper and Sandy Jones to the Ridley Board.

Ian Harper is one of Australia’s best known economists. He has worked closely with governments, banks, corporates and leading professional services firms at the highest level. He has been described as “one of those relatively rare academics who can communicate extremely well with both the business community and the academic community”. Ian is currently a Partner at Deloitte Access Economics.

Sandy Jones has a passion to encourage, equip and empower leaders so that gospel influence and fruitfulness is maximised. She is a graduate of Ridley, serving as a leadership consultant for the Anglican dioceses of Melbourne and Canberra & Goulburn, non‐governmental organisations, not‐for profit Christian organisations and a range of churches across Australia as the Managing Director of Leading ConneXions. Sandy was ordained in 1993. Her  experience in local church leadership, church planting, church revitalisation and coaching and training emerging and senior leaders underpins a strong connection with the Australian Anglican Community.

The Ridley Board is responsible for ensuring the overall performance and good governance of Ridley Melbourne, through considering and approving strategic direction, setting key objectives and performance measures, and monitoring the performance of the college. So “we are delighted to have people of such calibre join us in exercising these responsibilities” says  Claire Rogers, Chair of the Board.

The Board is committed to comprising a balance of clergy and lay Directors with an appropriate range of skills, experience and expertise. All members are chosen because of their sound understanding and competence to deal with current and emerging issues. These appointments  together with the commencement of Brian Rosner as Principal in July will help ensure Ridley’s future in the vital ministry of equipping men and women for God’s mission in the church and the world.
