Faculty Announcement
Friends,
I write with the news that Dr Andrew Malone will be finishing his ministry at Ridley in the middle of this year. As Ridley’s faculty has developed and student training needs have evolved, Andrew’s roles had changed to the point that there was significant overlap among faculty. In stewarding our budget for 2026 we have made the difficult decision to make his position redundant. He has held numerous positions since he joined the faculty in 2006, most recently as Dean of Ridley Online and Lecturer in Biblical Studies. He leaves us in good standing as a colleague, academic, and friend, with several new possibilities for ministry on the horizon.
Andrew started his theological studies at Ridley in 1995, served in the residential college, and began teaching biblical studies in the theological college in 1998. His academic writing has been widely praised, and his service in a variety of spheres within the College has been generous and diligent.
On a personal note, I have known Andrew for around thirty-five years, so I will miss him and his support. I am grateful that Andrew has graciously expressed his willingness to undertake some further teaching and supervision responsibilities as needed beyond this semester.
We wish him well on the path of the Lord’s leading.
