Call for Papers Update

The conference will reflect on how God persuades us, on persuasive trends in our world, and on how we persuade others. Topics could include:

Presenters will be allocated 20 minutes to present their paper, followed by a brief time for questions. Elective presentations will need to be pre-recorded by 6 July, so they can be uploaded for viewing by conference attendees.

Submission details
Please include your name, institutional affiliation/s, email, and a title and abstract in your submission. The abstract (200 words) should outline the paper’s significance, its location in the broader academic debate, and its method, argument and relevance to the conference theme.

Proposals should be submitted by 31 March 2021 to program chair Jill Firth, j.firth@ridley.edu.au.

You will receive a response to your proposal within one month of the 31 March deadline. If your proposal is accepted, you will need to confirm your participation with the program chair. In addition, you will need to register for the Conference (via the Conference registration site) at least one month before the Conference (i.e. by 6 July 2021). You will also need to send us a link to your paper’s video recording by 6 July (details will be provided).

Further details on the Conference will be available shortly. We are reviewing the plans in light of the current COVID situation in Australia. Thank you for your patience.
