Meet Scott Harrower

About Scott
Scott is a Lecturer in Theology at Ridley College, a Ridley graduate and an ordained Anglican minister. Having been brought up by missionary parents in Argentina, he has wide-ranging ministry experience in several countries. His PhD is in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he was supervised by former Ridley Principal, Rev Dr Graham Cole, and worked as Dr Don Carson’s Teaching and Research Assistant.

Scott is a globally engaged scholar and pastor with significant publications and more on the way. He is passionate about engaging students in the history and development of Christian thought and practice and keen to see them formed as godly followers of Christ and effective ministers of the gospel.  Scott is collaborative, a fine communicator and a strong student mentor.

He teaches theology, history, ethics and apologetics. He is published in the areas of theology (such as the doctrine of the Trinity, continental philosophical theology and the nature of religious language), historical studies (including Augustine and Calvin), New Testament Studies (such as Jesus’ self-understanding in Luke’s Gospel, the characterisation of women in Luke-Acts). He also regularly presents papers in the USA on topics such as theological methodology, Origen’s interpretation of Scripture and the work of T.F Torrance.
