Learning Approach
Ridley recognises that our graduates need the cross cultural skills of missionaries even if they travel no further than to the suburbs of Melbourne. We ensure that our graduates have the self-awarness, cultural appreciation, theology and ministry skills to meet the challenges of mission in post-Christian Australia as well as overseas.
Our learning pathways provide a balance between subject choice and ensuring students have the basic competencies for contemporary ministry. As well as foundational studies in bible, theology and church history, all our students study Evangelism and Ministry in Culturally Diverse Contexts. Togther, these units constitute Ridley's Common Core. We then offer you a wide range of elective units, including new subjects especially focussed on missional leadership, church planting and missiology.
Once you have completed your first eight units you can choose your own program or join a Learning Community to focus on Missional Leadership, Anglican Ordination or Global Mission.
