CACE Overview

Are you interested in ethics?

Well you’ve come to the right place - so are we. Particularly if you’re interested in Christian ethics, because that’s where we’re coming from. But if you’re not a Christian we hope you still find much to interest you here in an accessible form. We deal with a wide range of ethical issues in our conferences and newsletters and hope you will find something to stimulate your thinking in these ethically interesting times in which we live.

Christians and churches need to improve their level of ethical literacy. The study of ethics helps people to think more deeply about God and his will for this world. Presumably people who understand more about ethics will lead better lives, to God’s glory and the welfare of church and nation. The study of ethics forces us to engage with the real world!

It is not possible to engage in public discourse without ethical information and sensitivity. Some people have ethical objections to Christianity, and if we want to win them to Christ, we need to be able to discuss these issues. A multi-cultural society is a society with a variety of ethical attitudes, and we need to be able to engage in that debate and discussion. We need ethical awareness and ethical action to be a blessing to our communities.

The discussion of ethics within a broader Christian world-view is a great way to do apologetics, and to begin some evangelism.
